GENERAL SUMMARY:
Work in a fast-paced environment to take incoming technical calls from customers, listen, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for adhesives application equipment. You’ll utilize multiple databases to aid in troubleshooting and recording of the results of your interactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer incoming customer calls and provide TS assistance for adhesive applications equipment
- Interact and coordinate with other departments to resolve customer issues
- Communicate with customers via phone, text and e-mail
- Provide product and service information, conflict resolution and trouble shooting
- Act as a liaison between Nordson Field Sales & Service staff, Quality and Engineering
- Test, teardown and evaluation of returned Demo products. (As needed)
- Escalate customer trouble issues when appropriate
- Participate in After Hours technical support rotation
- Trainer – Teach a technical training course on core application equipment
- Overtime may be necessary as assignments dictate, to include weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education:
- Associates degree (A.A. / A.S.) Or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or four to five years of related experience and/or training is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Military experience in a technical MOS/AFSC/NEC is desirable
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA’s):
- Well-developed communication and analytical skillsets
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills
- Hydraulic systems knowledge and skills
- Basic electronic knowledge and skills to include the use of typical instrumentation, tools and equipment
- Ability to read and comprehend installation, dimensional and troubleshooting drawings/flowcharts plus hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Basic understanding of PLC systems knowledge and interface a plus
- Excellent computer skillset to maintain records, prepare correspondence, and for communication purposes
- High customer and service orientation
- Ability to sit in front of computer for prolonged periods of time
- Wear a headset
- Ability to multitask between systems
- Ability to quickly adapt to change
