The opportunity
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Office Assistant for the Wolak Learning Center. The Wolak Learning Center (WLC) Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the WLC by providing front desk customer service, assisting with administrative and data entry tasks, preparing for events, and maintaining office resources. This position serves as a key resource for students by creating a welcoming environment, connecting visitors with appropriate services, and supporting the WLC team in delivering high-quality academic support programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Courteously greet visitors to the Wolak Learning Center
- Direct students seekingassistancetoappropriateresources
- Maintain front office forms, resources, andtechnologies
- Assistwith planning and setting up WLC events to ensure smooth execution
- Assist Coordinatorsand Peer Educatorswithdata entry tasks
- Evening office coverage toassistPeer Educators with closing responsibilities
- Other projects as assigned by Wolak Learning Centerstaff
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate day student on the Manchester campus
- Applicants shouldpossessa positive attitude and willingness to helpothers
- Good interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to students from diverse backgrounds andabilities
- Given the sensitive nature of the information in this area,OfficeAssistants are expected tocomply withconfidentiality standardsestablishedfor theposition
- Excellent level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with design programs such asCanvaPro
- KnowledgeofWolak Learning Center’sservices
- Knowledge of various campus student services
- Applicants should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Officesuite
- OfficeAssistantswill be expected toutilizetheir own computer whereappropriate
- Ability to work as part of ateam
- Skilled at creatingand implementingmarketing initiatives
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Openness to other perspectives
OfficeAssistants willbe requiredto work a minimum of 3, 3-hour shifts, Monday –Thursday, between the hours of 9am –6:00pm, Friday, 9:am – 3:30pm. Schedulewill be dependent on candidates’ availability.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
