Summary
Barry University College of Health Professions and Medical Sciences is currently seeking an Adjunct Faculty. This Adjunct Faculty position serves on an as-needed basis per semester, reporting directly to the Occupational Therapy Program Director. This commitment includes weekly office hours based on program needs, two weekends of instruction each month for the assigned course. Instruction may include in-person and remote/online course delivery.
Essential Functions
Responsible for all assigned course preparation, delivery of the course content as per the syllabus, assessments, and student evaluations
Teach in area(s) of expertise and interest (credit load assigned by program director).
Participate in program activities and professional development (at a minimum of two faculty meetings per year).
Maintain active status with professional organizations at the local, state, and national levels.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required; doctoral degree preferred.
Current Florida OT license (or eligibility) and active NBCOT certification.
College-level teaching experience preferred.
Proficiency with learning management systems, particularlyCanvas.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate learning in diverse student populations.
Availability to meet with students outside of class sessions as needed (e.g., virtual office hours, academic support).
