Requirements
- Must have Level 2 Swimming Instructors Qualification or the National Swimming Instructors Qualification (newly combined). Those currently undertaking their qualification or accepted onto a future course may apply with the understanding they cannot take up the full role until completion of the course and qualification documents have been received.
- DBS clearance is required.
- Able to teach adults and children with varying learning or physical abilities/needs to swim in accordance with Swim England and Institute for Sport guidance.
- Confident delivering in front of a variety of people; friendly, positive minded; able to work independently as well as part of a team; passionate about the craft.
- Water safety must be at the forefront with the ability to be creative with lesson planning and implementation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Responsibilities
- Teach adults and children with varying learning or physical abilities/needs to swim in accordance with Swim England and Institute for Sport guidance.
- Plan and deliver swimming lessons, adapting to individual learner needs and abilities.
- Ensure water safety and supervise learners during swimming sessions.
- Deliver lessons independently or as part of a team as required by scheduling.
- Create and implement lesson plans and activities that engage learners and promote skill development.
