Requirements
  • Experience developing and maintaining enterprise grade tools, platforms, or applications
  • Experience working with full-stack network automation architectures including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, orchestration and automation frameworks, network source-of-truth applications, configuration management, and telemetry/observability stacks
  • In depth knowledge working with Python and/or Golang in a production environment.
  • Ability to break down complex software and automation concepts and present them in a concise way for a wide-ranging audience
  • Experience working with Git in a collaborative environment
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of NX-OS, IOS-XE, Arista EOS
  • Experience managing production workloads in AWS, GCP and/or Azure
  • Foundational knowledge of network/security best-practices and design patterns
Responsibilities
  • Develop well-written technical and architectural designs
  • Build and support network automation platforms that provide services to our global network
  • Work with fellow network engineers and SREs to fully understand the challenges in complex networks that can be solved through software-based solutions
  • Deliver complex network automation architectures through incremental development practices
  • Help maintain our switches, routers, and network access equipment
  • Deploy and maintain our software defined cloud networking, primarily in GCP and AWS
  • Participate in network operations and systems on-call rotation
  • Perform peer-reviews, provide guidance and contribute based on software best practices
Desired Qualifications
  • GCP or Azure certifications/experience
  • Understanding of 802.11ac/ax WiFi technologies and 802.1x authentication
  • Experience with BGP and ISIS in ECMP+VRF configurations
  • Experience managing IXP transit and peering connections and relationships
  • Experience with container networking solutions
  • Experience with web frameworks such as Django, Gin, or Angular
