Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling from an accredited college or university is required.
  • State of Michigan certification or licensure as specified by the program is required.
  • The ability to engage clients in treatment, refer clients to community resources, communicate effectively, make appropriate assessments and recommendations, address issues with a diverse client population, abide by the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics, and work irregular hours is required.
  • Knowledge of direct counseling, therapeutic services, and child welfare programs is required.
  • The ability to drive for agency business is required.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy groups for court-ordered adults.
  • Provide evidence-based group interventions for justice-involved individuals participating in court-ordered programming.
  • Complete clinical documentation and collaborate with court officers as required by the contract.
  • Provide counseling, psycho-educational services, screenings, psychotherapy, and diagnostic assessments within the scope of licensure.
  • Coordinate client services.
  • Maintain client records.
  • Participate in mental health and substance use disorder development activities.
  • Drive for agency business.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with justice-involved adults or court-ordered populations.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices, group facilitation, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability.
