What you’ll do
The Corporate Content & Communications team operates as a key component of AlixPartners’ broader Marketing & Business Development function. Its purpose is to position, promote and protect the firm’s brand and people, value proposition and reputation to a wide audience of external stakeholders including clients, media, commercial and ESG partners and regulators. Comprised of experienced practitioners with deep communications, content, creative and brand management expertise the team’s key areas of focus are:
- Design and delivery of high-quality brand development
- Content creation spanning the firm’s corporate, industry and service-line
- Media and other external stakeholder
The Corporate Communications Specialist position is a newly created role within Corporate Content & Communications group and will touch nearly every aspect of the team’s day to day responsibilities. It will involve significant collaboration with peers and leadership within the immediate team as well as to working alongside colleagues from other specialist marketing functions. It will also afford regular visibility of the firm’s wider leadership from the office of the Chief Executive down. The role is based in AlixPartners’ London office and reports to the firm’s Director Head of Corporate Marketing.
The role calls for a talented, informed, and ambitious communications professional able to blend creativity, strategic insight, and operational excellence all while managing a complex agenda and multiple stakeholder groups in a fast-paced environment.
- Identifying and managing key media relationships for the firm, building a relevant journalist database, tracking activity via regular contact, monitoring everyone’s output, and devising tactics and strategies to ensure AlixPartners is regularly front of mind as a valued content contributor, working closely with our external media relations agency and our in-house media relations team globally.
- Monitoring global business news and other relevant outlets to identify comment and opinion opportunities for AlixPartners.
- Working with the team’s content creators behind the firm’s major pieces of intellectual property (including our signature Disruption Index and certain industry focused properties) to identify key messages, create over-arching narratives, and build out high quality supporting communications campaigns both offline and, increasingly, online.
- Providing support and contribution to the firm’s existing CEO visibility program. This will include assisting in content development, social media activation, and preparing for media and other speaking engagements, as well as identifying new content and comment opportunities on current affairs and business issues.
- Providing support and contribution to the firm’s Senior Executive Visibility Program similar to the CEO program (see above bullet).
- Supporting team leadership in identifying, preparing for, promoting, and capturing follow up from the firm’s most high-profile events-based relationships. These include, but are not limited to, The World Economic Forum, WSJ CEO Council, The Times CEO Summit, and Milken.

- Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Storytelling excellence, a love for writing with first class written and oral presentation skills in English.
- A passion for news and current affairs married to the ability and desire to find ways to align AlixPartners with the stories of the day and pitch the firm accordingly.
- A deep understanding of the value, purpose, and requirements of effective use of social media.
- Intellectual agility, able to take high concept ideas and distil them into compelling, easily accessible outputs.
- Ability to work autonomously and exhibit excellent stakeholder management skills, able to manage and build rapport in all directions.
- Proactive and responsive; able to remain calm and manage multiple large and complex projects simultaneously under time pressure and adapt to changing circumstances using sound judgment as to when escalation is required.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal UK business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
