Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • One to two years of experience in the financial services or banking sector.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, and procedures, particularly commercial lending and credit risk management.
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and validating financial data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume work environment.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and business requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French, spoken and written.
  • Availability to work rotating schedules within operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
  • Review, classify, and index documents submitted by employees before uploading them to Electronic Client Files, following established procedures and quality standards.
  • Process document re-indexation requests within Electronic Client Files.
  • Verify financial information and validate data entered into BDC systems for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up to ensure client files remain current.
  • Prepare and distribute standard client correspondence related to loan administration requirements.
  • Complete routine service requests and annual review activities for client files with loan amounts of $350,000 or less.
  • Process assigned requests accurately and within established service-level standards.
  • Collaborate with Business Centre employees and internal partners to ensure consistent application of procedures and policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant procedures, policies, system updates, and operational requirements.
  • Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of client information across BDC systems.

Launch alum raises $1.6M for AI-powered health app Tempo

Toronto's The Wellness Company (TWC) has secured nearly $1.6 million CAD in seed funding to develop consumer health applications. The round was led by BDC Capital's Seed Venture Fund, with participation from BKR Capital, Launch, and angel investors. Founded by Presh Dineshkumar and Dray Williams, TWC operates as a product studio creating health-focused mobile apps. The startup has launched four applications, including GoPolar for cold plunge tracking, SunSeek for sunlight monitoring, and Posture AI for mobility improvement. Helcim raises $53M at $250M valuation as RBC, BMO sell Moneris to US buyer

Fondaction and BDC invest in Icentia to accelerate cardiovascular diagnostic tech rollout

Fondaction and the Business Development Bank of Canada have invested in Icentia, a Québec medical technology company.
