Job Description

Risk Manager leads efforts to mitigate organizational risks by implementing risk management and patient safety strategies. This position coordinates the operations of  and supervises the Risk Coordinators in the Department of Risk Management and Patient Safety. This role supervises and participates in analysis of PSI events, including root cause analysis and evaluation of trend data.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing and 5 years of critical care and/or general medical surgical nursing experience required.  Licensed as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. 

Computer/internet skills and familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) essential. Experience in healthcare risk management essential, supervisory experience preferred.
