The primary focus of this position is to lead the financial needs of the 340B drug program by developing relevant analytics, monitoring benchmarks and working collaboratively with the other stakeholders to minimize the impacts of the changing payer mix and program requirements. The position has responsibility for managing and coordinating all financial aspects of the 340B program for each acute care Hospital and advise on status changes. The position supports the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to this program and any other related programs by assisting with the creation of comprehensive program plans for key organizational initiatives. The position contributes to meeting the objective goals of the organization, which include system strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to establish WVU Medicine as a premier clinical organization and optimizing reimbursement in every market.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health care Administration, Communications, Education, Finance, Project Management, related or relevant field (as determined by leadership) OR at least one (1+) year’s experience with healthcare regulatory research and direct 340B knowledge and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Strong communication and project management skills.
2. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
3. Strong regulatory research experience specific to 340B.
4. Understanding of Medicare Cost Reporting and its relationship with 340B eligibility, child site registration, etc.
5. Relevant experience working with HRSA regarding eligibility, registration, audits, etc.

1. Serve as liaison between pharmacy, finance, compliance and external partners as the SME for 340B finance and actively participate in setting strategy as it relates to Hospital eligibility in the program
2. Responsible for development and monitoring of dashboards and metrics to inform leaders of eligibility status in real time.
3. Manage efforts to develop reports, develop presentations, and help communicate to leadership.
4. Ensures that the designated project is proceeding according to agreed upon timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters (negotiates all changes in project scope).
5. Responds to requests; explores and resolves problems as presented by Department Leadership, IT, clinical departments, and support staff timely and efficiently.
6. Assist Director in standardization and process improvement techniques to improve operations. Identify ways to optimize best practices and operational workflows and assists with necessary development, training, implantation, and integration.
7. Initiates programs and projects in direct consultation with Directors and Senior Leadership and coordinates their implementation and completion in collaboration with appropriate internal and external customers.
8. Directs project review sessions with Directors and other project leaders in order to monitor progress against timelines, including issue audits and mitigation steps. Documents project plan progress. Interprets and advises key stakeholders on 340b compliance and alerts leadership to any pertinent changes.
9. Maintain an expert level of knowledge of the 340b program criteria for eligibility and monitor pertinent regulatory changes and advise on any potential changes, requirements. Risks, opportunities, strategy, etc. across the 340B program.
10. Provides assistance in management, development, analysis, implementation, improvement, presentation, optimization, etc. of other departmental or organizational projects on an as needed basis.
