Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of plant machinery.
  • Check, maintain, repair, and replace motors, pumps, line shafts, and other equipment.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance logs and records.
  • Prioritize and complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate with the Superintendent, Chief Operator, and Operators.
  • Train new maintenance hires as needed.
  • Use hand, bench, and machine tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Operate drill presses and grinders and perform welding tasks.
  • Assist in drawing and pumping sludge, turning valves, and recirculating sludge.
  • Design and fabricate parts as required.
  • Research, order, and obtain necessary tools, equipment, and parts.
  • Maintain plant structures and grounds.
