We are seeking a highly motivated Design Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Design Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our cycling products from concept development through to production. You will work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure that our products meet or exceed customer expectations and adhere to industry standards and regulations.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Collaborate with the design team to develop new products and improve existing ones, ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the design process.
- Develop and implement quality control processes to identify and resolve potential product defects, while reducing the risk of non-compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality audits on products throughout the development and production stages, reporting and resolving any issues that arise.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including supply chain and manufacturing teams, to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Participate in design and engineering reviews to ensure that quality is being considered throughout the design process.
- Develop and maintain documentation for quality control processes and product specifications.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a Quality, Design or Manufacturing engineering role
- Excellent problem-solving methodologies, such as root cause analysis, paired with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with CAD software, ability to understand 2D drawings (Knowledge of GD&T)
- Knowledge and application of quality control tools and testing methods for products
- Be the voice of our riders and ensure that significant issues are communicated and resolved during the development of new products with R&D partners.
- Actively participate in field testing to ensure issues are addressed before production
- Build & manage product validation plans for projects.
- Lead targeted DFMEAs in New/Unique/Different/Difficult (NUDD) areas of a project to implement appropriate mitigations.
- Lead Risk Assessments for new products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience facilitating risk assessments (FMEA) and leading problem-solving or process improvement
- Experience working in an R&D environment.
- Experience with outsourced manufacturing, especially with suppliers in Asia
- Design Quality Engineering experience within the cycling industry
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 4210 and EN 15194
Pay
Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:
California Base Pay Range: $66,506 - $109,735
