Requirements
  • Previous administrative or secretarial experience is desired.
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or the ability to learn them.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of sensitive and confidential information.
  • Basic understanding of the organization's products and services and Thrivent Financial.
  • Ability to work with all roles of the practice.
  • Ability to represent the organization in work with external clients.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizations.
  • Successful completion of the employer's background verification and fingerprint submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
  • Compliance with the firm's Code of Ethics, including maintaining outside brokerage accounts at one of the firm's designated firms when accessing Wealthscape.
Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and respond to requests for information.
  • Perform routine administrative duties, including maintaining office supplies and processing mail.
  • Prepare or coordinate routine correspondence, reports, and special projects.
  • Support projects, administration of various programs, and processing functions as needed.
  • Schedule client and member meetings on behalf of the practice's Financial Advisors.
  • Update the contact management system with client and member contact and preference information.
  • Assist Financial Advisors with preparation and follow-up for client and member meetings.
  • Track practice expenses and oversee practice bill paying.
  • Provide backup support on tasks that do not require licensing or registration for other staff members as needed.
  • Participate in the business planning process.
  • Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
