Requirements
- 7+ years PR, media, and communications experience, focused on B2B buyers
- BA/BS in marketing, communications, business management, or other related field
- Strong experience cultivating successful relationships with traditional and digital media
- Experience and genuine interest in uncovering unique and innovative communication approaches to build brand reputation and media coverage
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Highly organized and structured to drive consistent success

Responsibilities
- Analyze the existing earned media approach and develop recommendations for dramatically improving performance
- Assume management responsibilities of our current PR agency partner
- Develop and own the earned media calendar, with concrete definitions of success
- Develop and implement a public relations strategy that is consistent with our corporate objectives, organizational needs, and business goals
- Provide direction to our PR agency partner on strategy and tactical media outreach
- Craft and distill complex messages to create written materials, including press releases, media pitches, and messaging documents that are appropriate for the intended audience
- Proactively identify opportunities to earn positive media coverage by developing original story/pitch ideas and actively participating in pitching and securing media opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts
- Counsel subject matter experts in preparation for media interviews, providing guidance that demonstrates PR best practices for message development
- Assess risks associated with media interaction and proactively proposes effective courses of action
