The Role
We’re looking for a Visuals Editor to join the Vogue team on a 6 month FTC.
The Visuals Editor will play a key role in helping to define and refine Vogue’s creative output, producing photoshoots and researching imagery across our print and digital platforms. You’ll support the team by executing projects, managing external production and commissioning shoots.
You’ll have strong editorial judgement and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously. This role calls for an experienced candidate with a thorough knowledge of the industry and an enviable contact book of agencies, photographers, stylists and studios.
What will you be doing?
Produce photoshoots for all Vogue platforms, liaising directly with photographers, studios, PRs personnel and Vogue’s editors and creatives to set up shoot assignment logistics.
Liaise with external production companies on the management of photoshoots.
Manage individual photoshoot budgets and work efficiently within the resources.
Support with tracking the monthly usage of stock agency images and processing invoices.
Negotiate and secure rights and fees for images, both produced photoshoots and researched work.
Meet with agencies and photographers to help maintain relationships and unearth new talent.
Manage the post production process on relevant stories, coordinating lo-res and hi-res selection and delivery.
Create mood boards and pitch ideas.
Who you are:
Extensive experience in media or a relevant field.
Experience producing photo content efficiently and managing a team on set.
Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to produce content under heavy deadline pressure.
A meticulous eye for detail.
A journalist’s knowledge of fashion and a passion for photography and illustration.
