  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS field or related engineering/science/safety discipline
  • At least 10 years’ experience in EHS management roles and management of an EHS team
  • Working knowledge of regional EHS regulations as well as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe workplace for employees, contractors and visitors while ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and overall governance of site/Corporate EHS procedures
  • Maintain certifications to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Liaise with 3rd party compliance and regulatory bodies
  • Proactive implementation and management of various Environmental, Health & Safety programs including contractor permitting and control, confined space, lock-out tag-out, fall arrest, personal protective equipment, hazard communication, job hazard analysis, industrial hygiene monitoring, equipment safety sign-offs, hazardous waste, etc.
  • Implementing corporate EHS standards to drive first-in-class safety and environmental performance and ensure efficiency in our operations
  • Champion cross-site projects to reduce injuries and improve safety culture
  • Provide quarterly metrics and program updates to both the Site Leadership team and the Global EHS team
  • Manage site Occupational Health and screening programs
  • Manage safety reviews and inspections for work activities and recommend safe work practices and PPE requirements; works cross-functionally with Manufacturing Leadership, Equipment Engineering & Maintenance, & Facilities personnel to ensure safety issues and concerns are addressed and mitigated
  • Participating in sustainability initiatives and improving performance in GHG reduction, energy and water consumption, and landfill reduction
  • Supervise hazardous waste storage, inspection, and shipping activities for the site to comply with all regulations
  • Ensure regulatory inspections are hosted efficiently and any anomalies/issues are actioned promptly
  • Ensure employees are trained on health and safety policies and best practices
  • Lead the management of EHS concerns & hazards reporting, providing guidance to ensure all actions are closed in a timely manner
  • Assist in the development of risk assessments, incident reporting, and EHS standards
  • Drive improvement for chemical approval, regulatory review, incident notification & reporting, equipment evaluation & review, and contractor management
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics industry, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and/or sustainability, but with some exposure or familiarity to all aspects
  • Knowledge of the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct
  • Chemical management experience; knowledge of RoHS, REACH, GHS, and TSCA
