- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required.
- Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Provide non-medical home care according to each client's individualized Plan of Care.
- Transport clients to appointments and activities.
- Assist clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping.
- Assist clients with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Document care and provide reminders as directed.
- Open availability is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Aide, or Companion is a plus.
Companions and Homemakers is a Connecticut home care provider helping older adults and people with disabilities remain safely in their own homes.
