Job Description:
Provides support and various tasks related to the patient record system including customer assistance.
Schedule Monday - Friday either 08:00 – 17:00 or 08:30 – 17:30 standard, some flexibility, no holidays, no weekends
- Files and scans medical records into electronic medical records (EMR) system according to established policies and procedures.
- Requests and provides medical information to and from patient care providers in strict accordance with HIPAA and all policies and procedures.
- Maintains medical records and other correspondence according to policy.
- Maintains organization of information center and physical charts.
- Manages EMR fax queue and assist callers by answering and referring phone calls or other inquiries to ensure accurate and timely communication.
- Manages the flow of interdepartmental, outgoing, and incoming mail.
- Pulls and files charts for patient appointments, staff, physicians and/or other requests.
- Files loose sheets (patient records) in appropriate chart.
- May answer phone inquiries regarding medical records.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- One (1) year related experience in a health care organization is required

- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required

Physical Requirements:
- Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing
- Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
- May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$16.83 - $21.88
