DeleteMe focuses on helping individuals protect their online privacy by removing personal information from the internet. The service targets data brokers, which are companies that collect and sell personal data without consent. Clients subscribe to DeleteMe, paying a recurring fee for ongoing protection. The process starts when clients provide their personal information, which DeleteMe's experts then search for online. They initiate the removal of this information from search engines and data broker databases, providing clients with a detailed report within seven days. This process is repeated every three months to ensure continuous monitoring and protection. DeleteMe stands out from competitors by offering a subscription model that guarantees regular scans and updates, ensuring clients' personal information remains secure over time. Improving Privacy For Journalists: Inn Collaborates With Deleteme

LOS ANGELES, December 4, 2023 (Newswire.com). -. As political polarization has increased, so has doxxing — the practice of exposing personal information as a means of intimidation. Journalists are facing this threat every day, and it is more important than ever to protect their privacy. To counter this trend, Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) is teaming up with DeleteMe, funded by Microsoft’s Democracy Forward Initiative, to help decrease the amount of personal information about journalists that can be discovered online. The collaboration will help protect local journalists from threats during a critical election year and ensure they can provide high-quality information to local communities.
