Requirements
  • You have fully onboarded; developing a deep technical understanding of the robotic domain and feel confident navigating the space
  • You have led design efforts for at least two features or products and delivered completed designs
  • You have established effective working relationships with our backend and frontend teams to ensure that designs are technically viable and being implemented as intended
  • You have attended at least two customer site visits to study how our robots work in the field
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science or a related field and 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting end-to-end experience design on product development projects is required
  • Experience with user research, analysis and testing methods is required
  • Proficiency in designing, iterating and prototyping user interfaces is required
  • Fluency with contemporary design and collaboration tools is required
  • Proficiency in delivering design work products, e.g., sketches, flows, wireframes, prototypes is required
  • Proficiency in Figma or a comparable UI design tool is required
  • Experience with a variety of product development processes, e.g., Agile, waterfall, etc. is preferred
  • Strong team player, excellent communication and presentation skills and customer service driven
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates ability to create professional quality visual design
  • Demonstrates ability to breakdown complex problems into elegant user flows
  • Creates intuitive, coherent designs that align with brand standards and advances the Seegrid Design System
  • Conducts, analyzes and reports findings and recommendations from field research, usability testing and heuristic evaluations
  • Plans and completes assigned tasks and deliverables with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Actively follows design trends, tools and technologies, shares knowledge and explores ways to apply to offerings
  • Identifies issues, develops alternatives and implements a solution, while keeping leadership apprised
  • Authors and contributes to design project plans, schedules, deliverables and performance objectives
Desired Qualifications
  • Design experience with both mobile and web-based applications is preferred
  • Design experience in a hardware + software environment is preferred
