Overview

The Hosting Applications team is seeking an initiative-taking and experienced individual to perform application installations, upgrades, and operational support for existing and new customers of Altera. Provide technical leadership and direction in the use of application and technology approaches applied within Altera software solutions to meet the company and customer’s long-term requirements. This individual will work closely with the Business Unit leaders, Support team, and other Hosting teams.

This is a remote role in the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform application installations, upgrades, and operational support for existing and new customers.
• Technical Stewardship: Provide continual technical guidance and support to the project team during the implementation phase.
• Solution design: Collaborate with business stakeholders and TAM to understand business requirements and objectives. Based on this, design solutions that align with Hosting best practices, industry standards, and organizational business priorities
• Communication: Create architectural diagrams and documentation to effectively communicate design to the project team.
• Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution of the project. Proactively address the challenges related to project deliverables and timeline.
• Standards and best practices: Develop and enforce hosting best practices and guidelines to maintain a high level of quality and consistency throughout the project implementation phase.
• Project Management Support: Collaborate with PMO for resource allocation of the technical tasks. Provide technical inputs during project status meetings and address any technical roadblocks.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation through the project lifecycle including architecture design documents, configuration guide, and release notes.

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent/years of experience required.
• Prefer Technical Certification(s) such as Microsoft Certified or similar certifications

Experience:

• Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience
• Strong Knowledge of software applications and operating platforms, storage area networks, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Basic familiarity with healthcare organizations.
• Familiarity with Cloud operations.
• Ability to write scripts in PowerShell.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Well organized, detail oriented, self starter, able to work independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Must demonstrate the ability to learn and communicate new technologies.
• Knowledge of SAN (storage area networks), data replication and backup.
• Knowledge of IT industry and industry trends
• Ability to anticipate problems and initiate corrective action
• Ability to identify best solutions to identified problems or deficiencies
• DevOps would be added advantage.
