The Opportunity at Komodo Health

The Vice President of Sales Engineering will lead a high-performing team of solution engineers to drive customer success by delivering tailored healthcare data solutions. This individual will partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and customer success, to identify client needs and implement scalable, innovative solutions powered by Komodo’s platform & data. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and hands-on collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

These are the essential job duties you will be responsible for …

Strategic Engagement

Partner with sales leadership to define and execute strategies that align with Komodo’s business objectives
Act as a strategic advisor to clients, translating business challenges into actionable technical solutions using Komodo’s platform and data assets
Provide thought leadership and drive innovation in leveraging healthcare data and analytics for customer outcomes

Solution Design & Delivery

Oversee the design of customized data solutions and technical architectures that address customer requirements and business goals
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback informs the product roadmap
Ensure timely delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions that drive measurable value for clients
Deliver technical and business-level demos to customers

Cross-functional Collaboration

Serve as the voice of the customer, providing insights and feedback to internal teams to improve products and services
Align with marketing, product, and sales teams to craft compelling value propositions and demonstrations
Represent Komodo Health at industry events, customer meetings, and internal forums as a subject matter expert

What you bring to Komodo Health (required):

15+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, or similar roles, including 8+ years in a leadership position
Strong understanding of healthcare data and analytics, including familiarity with EHR, claims, and other real-world data sources
Proven track record of delivering complex enterprise solutions in SaaS or data-driven technology companies
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience building high-performing teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

Additional skills and experience we’d prioritize (nice to have)…

Experience working in the healthcare, life sciences, or biopharma industries
Deep knowledge of data science tools, cloud technologies, and AI/ML applications in healthcare
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization

Compensation at Komodo Health

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of pay that we reasonably expect to pay across all U.S. locations and may span more than one career level. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.

The U.S. national starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan.

$230,000—$311,000 USD

Where You’ll Work

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
