Responsibilities
  • Partner with supported dentists to gain a financial commitment from patients to start the dentist-diagnosed course of treatment with urgency.
  • Understand and use financial options to support case acceptance and educate patients on treatment choices.
  • Overcome common patient objections to starting treatment in a professional manner.
  • Proactively keep dentists’ schedules productive.
  • Support each patient in a consultative and educational manner while supporting a positive patient experience and long-term patient relationships.
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Achieve proficiency in the PDS system and use its tools, skills, and talents to help patients make decisions suited to their wants and needs.
  • Execute the Healthcare Coordinator handoff in partnership with each clinician for every examination patient.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on available financial options and provide patients with budget-appropriate choices for starting dentistry.
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations before completing treatment when required.
  • Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model and manages referrals outside the office.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role directly affects metrics and results.
  • Make decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework and demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand.
  • Become knowledgeable about the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies and address others professionally and respectfully.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
