Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance practices
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular business hours
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment inspections, to minimize production interruptions and downtime
  • Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance tasks and ensure minimal impact on production schedules
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify issues, defects, or potential hazards and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or coordinate repairs with external vendors to restore functionality in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts and supplies
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance
  • Monitor and control maintenance expenses within budgetary constraints by optimizing resources and minimizing waste
  • Provide regular reports to the Maintenance Manager on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and adherence to maintenance schedules and KPIs
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred
  • Certification in maintenance management or related field (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) is a plus
