Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and comprehend customer-supplied drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate inspection results with team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple requirements and deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly shift priorities in support of production inspection needs.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent degree (GED).
  • Experience with measuring instruments, methods, and practices, including hand tools and machine devices such as CMM and vision systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and incoming inspections of components, assemblies, and received materials according to control and quality plans.
  • Inspect injection-molded parts, assemblies, and received materials for quality, appearance, and performance.
  • Inspect and audit final product documentation before release.
  • Determine reasons for defects.
  • Read and understand quality-control plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Check part dimensions using precision testing and metrology equipment, including Tool Scope, coordinate-measuring machine (CMM), optical gauging product (OGP), and other equipment.
  • Complete quality records in accordance with company and good manufacturing practice (GMP) guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Read and comply with work instructions, setup sheets, and checklists.
  • Accurately record and report hours worked.
  • Maintain an organized work area, including workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker areas, in accordance with 5S practices.
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program.
  • Understand and comply with company professional competencies, policies, and employee manual.
  • Adhere to safety policies, including wearing personal protective equipment when required.
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and medical-device requirements.
  • Complete other assigned work duties.

  • Quality training or certifications.

Cretex Medical signs agreement to acquire Atemisa Precision, S.A. in Costa Rica. Cretex Medical, a leading provider of contract medical device manufacturing and engineering services, announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Atemisa Precision, S.A. in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Dedicated to satisfying customer needs, Atemisa provides high quality machining services to the medical and industrial sectors in Costa Rica. The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year, subject to customary closing conditions. Cretex Medical's mission is to make it easier to get their customers' products to patients. By integrating Atemisa's precision machining expertise with Cretex Medical's newly constructed facility in Cartago, Costa Rica, the company will strengthen its local, vertically integrated capabilities, including advanced machining, molding, laser processing, and assembly.
