Atlantic Health System announced that Saad Ehtisham, DHA, FACHE, will be its new president and chief executive officer, effective July 30, 2025.Ehtisham is a distinguished leader who has guided and transformed health-care organizations for more than two decades. His expertise in not-for-profit and for-profit health-care organizations encompasses acute care operations, strategic planning and market growth, physician engagement, nursing, graduate medical education, financial performance and philanthropy. Attorney Laura Ann Kelly, a founding member of the Morristown-based law firm, Donnelly, Minter & Kelly, will become board of trustees’ chair of the Atlantic Health System, at the end of May. Kelly will succeed Robert E. McCracken, who transitions to the role of immediate past chair. Long-serving trustee Richard W. Herbst will assume the role of vice chair, succeeding Kelly.Kelly has been an Atlantic Health System trustee since 2014 and has served as vice chair for the board since 2022. She has been chair of the governance committee for the last five years, overseeing trustee recruitment, education and engagement and providing strategic guidance for environmental, social, governance and charitable giving initiatives.She formerly served as a governing board member for Chilton Medical Center and sat on its community advisory board from 2009 to 2017
Overlook Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System, gained Magnet with Distinction recognition last month in recognition of its nursing professionalism, teamwork, and superiority in patient care. The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet with Distinction Recognition Program distinguishes organizations that not only meet but exceed the rigorous standards for nursing excellence.Overlook first achieved this recognition in 2020. This is the first time Overlook has achieved Magnet with Distinction recognition.
