Our challenge
We are seeking a seasoned QA Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of our automation testing frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing testing strategies, overseeing the execution of tests, and working with software developers to improve product quality. The QA Automation Architect should have a deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), extensive experience with automation tools, and the ability to create and maintain test environments.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York City, NY is $112k - $118k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
Identify, record, and document thoroughly bugs or defects.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
Monitor debugging process results.
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Requirements:
You are:
Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
