Requirements
  • Ten to fifteen plus years of experience in finance and accounting or related function
  • Experience in healthcare organization or with managed care plans is required
  • Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, economics, or related field is required
  • Financial leadership within an organization of approximately $100 million+ annual revenue
  • Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Quality of Earnings/Quality of Revenue reviews, and EBITDA adjustments
  • Understands SQL queries at an intermediate level and can review the team’s work product and validate
  • Superior Excel skills including lookups, index/match, and pivot tables
Responsibilities
  • Partner with finance teams to work cross-functionally with other departments to create annual budget for topline revenues, cost of revenues, gross margin, and operating expenses for the Colorado Market
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements and bi-weekly operational reports for performance monitoring
  • Support topline growth through partnering with the Vice President of Community Partnerships to create go-to-market analyses and strategies utilizing Salesforce data, partnering with contracting teams to negotiate rates with Regional Centers, and create and monitor topline key performance indicators around leads, referrals, conversion rates, census, and discharges
  • Manage gross margin and perform analyses around reimbursement rates and relationships with pay rates to providers; oversee Revenue Cycle Management to ensure denials are resolved and overall days sales outstanding are within industry standards; manage pay rates for providers for compliance with local, state, and federal rules; monitor overtime and labor burden and effects on gross margin; monitor service utilization and other operational metrics driving growth
  • Support Colorado Market with workforce planning, productivity metrics, building capacity through offshore team buildout, and vendor management
  • Assist division with health plan contract compliance, minimum wage compliance, and enforce company policy and procedures related to financial transactions
  • Partner with data team to create new metrics and reports for deeper insights and identification of growth levers, efficiency opportunities, or cost savings; create pro forma analyses for information technology, marketing, and other cross-functional projects
  • Partner with CFO to build outsourcing function to offshore team, including liaising with third-party vendor, managing communications and performance, reviewing training and process materials for offshore team, and partnering with other departments who would like to utilize the service
  • Support the Deals Team with acquisition diligence reviews, including Quality of Revenue, Quality of Earnings, Net Working Capital; support CFO with integration playbook post-close, including purchase price allocation and valuation; coordinate with Assistant Controller for transitioning accounting processes to centralized team, general ledger historical backloads and mapping, and transitioning statistical reporting (Management Reports) creation for newly acquired companies to Financial Operations team
