Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (AE, EE,CS) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in program management, product management, or engineering management focused on the delivery of complex systems
  • Experience with program lifecycle management including design, assembly, integration, test and flight operations of imaging hardware
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, to all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a track record of creative and critical thinking
  • Passion for establishing a new program for space technology
  • Hands-on, can do attitude, interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders effectively
Responsibilities
  • Influence, track and lead cross-functional development for Planet's next generation payloads from ideation to launch
  • Drive a multi-organizational engineering program to develop an advanced payload. Develop project schedules, resource plans, budgets, risk mitigation strategies and track performance through all phases of the program
  • Drive root cause problem solving, identify, and eliminate blocking issues

  • You have shipped a product
  • You have experience managing spacecraft, payload or optics technology development
  • Experience with some of our key technical areas/sub-systems such as telescopes, sensors, cameras
