- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be able to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
- Stand for up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas of the building.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; maintain full range of motion with the arms and hands; and frequently feel, handle, or finger objects.
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
- Have sufficient vision to detect color and depth and to refocus.
- Use safety goggles or other personal protective equipment when required by working conditions.
- Safely transport customers to and from their residences or businesses using the company vehicle.
- Pick up parts, supplies, tires, and other items from vendors or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
- Operate the company vehicle safely and courteously while obeying all traffic laws.
- Conduct state safety and emissions inspections on vehicles ethically and according to company and state guidelines.
- Perform tire mounting and dismounting, wheel balancing, and tire rotations.
- Perform oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
- Observe general vehicle condition during basic services, identify obvious needed repairs or safety concerns, and report them to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
- Use the company's multipoint inspection and/or repair order to document vehicle condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of the service area, tire racks, showroom, shop, and exterior of the building.
- Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
- A general understanding of automotive mechanics.
