We are hiring a People Operations Manager to join our Duolingo English Test Proctoring Team to support our growing remote workforce and to work out of our Pittsburgh office. This is the ideal role for someone who is interested in growing their people operations skills within a global workforce in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

You Will...

• Oversee the people operations for a large, international, remote team
• Oversee hiring for all positions on the team, ensuring that our processes are consistent and ensure that we select the right people for the right roles
• Develop and drive team performance management processes
• Create and manage all team professional development efforts
• Manage administrative tasks such as approving timesheets and invoices, coordinating pay changes, maintaining and updating records, and coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities
• Be willing and able to be on call on a rotating basis in the evenings, on weekends, and on holidays
• Be willing and able to take on additional duties and projects as assigned
• Focus on ever improving contractor happiness and productivity

Requirements: 

• 3+ years of HR operations experience
• Experience working with a remote and/or contingent workforce
• A bachelor’s degree or higher
• Ability to work full-time from Pittsburgh, PA

Exceptional Candidates Will Have...

• Prior experience in a fast growth environment
• Applied ESL background
• Fluency in French, Mandarin, Spanish, or an Indian language
