Requirements
  • DEC in accounting or equivalent training
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of the complete accounting cycle
  • Relevant experience in the full payroll cycle
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook)
  • Good knowledge of the Acomba accounting system (an asset)
  • Knowledge of the Nethris or Desjardins payroll system
  • Ability to manage priorities and work within tight deadlines
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility
  • Attention to detail and precision in work
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Very good oral and written communication in French, bilingualism is an asset
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable, check issuance, and electronic payments
  • Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable
  • Perform monthly journal entries and adjustments
  • Produce monthly financial statements with performance indicators
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure their accuracy and completeness
  • Resolve complex issues involving credit analysts, clients, suppliers, and other McKesson department stakeholders
  • Produce sales tax returns (GST-QST)
  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare and document year-end files for external auditors
  • Provide mentoring to new employees and offer advice related to pharmacy accounting expertise
  • Manage liquidity for pharmacies
  • Collaborate with other members of the Financial Services team and external stakeholders (pharmacies, banks, external accountants) for problematic or complex pharmacies
  • Regularly update accounting documentation in directories
  • Other related tasks
