Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of practical experience in general accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable preferred
- AEC industry experience or understanding a plus
- Government contracting and procurement experience a plus
- Experience with Deltek Vision a plus
- Detail oriented and organized with a commitment to responsiveness, follow through, and customer service
Responsibilities
- Serve as accounting and finance resource for technical professionals on assigned projects
- Review contracts and other project documents for financial and reporting requirements
- Work closely with project managers and principals to ensure accuracy and proper accounting for job costs and earnings
- Generate invoices and supporting documentation based on contract terms and input from project managers and principals
- Manage collection of accounts receivable and reconciliation of cash receipts
- Prepare ad hoc reports and provide detailed and timely financial information to project managers, principals, and company management
- Monitor and analyze progress against budget and make recommendations to improve project performance
- Verify subcontractor and vendor invoices to ensure adherence to contract terms
- Advise on accounting best practices and act as authority on and within the context of GAAP and the firm's internal accounting policies and procedures
