  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management

  • Prior heavy civil project experience (water/wastewater, bridge, rail/transit, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Perform assignments that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria’s to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
  • Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
  • Prepare engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids.
  • Assist with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used.
  • Assist with construction administration and documentation of deficiencies and deviations from plans.
  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
  • Research and compiling project information for reporting, marketing, and funding requests.
  • Create and maintain centralized files for project records (including digital).
  • Coordinate logistics and meetings for project managers.
  • Help in the preparation of reports, including monthly development reports.
  • Assist with community outreach duties as needed.
  • Attend neighborhood, community, and project meetings.
  • Undertaking tasks as may be assigned by project managers.
  • Have a clear understanding of the budget and assist in the creation of and adherence to project and development budgets.

  • Experience in heavy civil construction with an understanding of construction methods, means, and materials.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and high-paced field environments.
