Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience including general ledger and monthly close procedures; “Big Four” experience preferred
  • Proficient in accounting software and Excel; familiarity with Oracle Netsuite a plus
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and team player
  • Able to multitask and embrace changing priorities
Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of financial transactions within the general ledger, applying relevant US GAAP accounting principles and best practices
  • Execute monthly close procedures within mandated timelines
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepaid expenses, receivables, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts, as well as, preparation of respective supporting workpapers and documentation; Prepare journal entries as needed
  • Maintain fixed asset supporting schedules and ensure compliance with internal depreciation policies
  • Contribute to process enhancement and development of best practices within Firm accounting systems, programs and procedures
  • Assist with cash flow analysis and cash management
  • Assist with periodic budget to actual reporting and analysis
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects, such as expense reporting and analytics and annual audit support
