- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
- At least 5 years of construction engineering experience is required.
- Experience in resource monitoring techniques, including cost accounting and basic estimating, is preferred.
- Experience with construction technology, process systems, and/or structures is preferred.
- Specialized technical knowledge of design-build or other alternative build techniques is required.
- The candidate must be able to delegate and assign work to the engineering team to advance project production.
- Advanced knowledge of contract specifications and quality assurance practices is required.
- The candidate must be able to identify budget and project costs and recommend options to mitigate project delays.
- Knowledge of financial reporting methods, quantity tracking methods, and cost coding is required.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management is preferred.
- Meet with engineering and field crews to review the production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment, and resources.
- Review shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data.
- Provide technical input for the project work plan and schedule.
- Identify production, material, equipment, or process risks that could negatively affect the budget or schedule.
- Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track project performance accurately.
- Update the project schedule weekly for owner and management reporting.
- Prepare and manage a three-week work plan, notify engineering and project management of significant schedule changes, and develop solutions to mitigate delays and costs.
- Initiate and manage all Requests for Information.
- Submit accurate project quantities using assigned project cost coding to ensure accurate project financial reporting.
- Manage invoicing with the accounting team for materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
- Review certificates and permits needed to perform the work.
- Review required Job Hazard Analyses to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for construction personnel.
- Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed.
