Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school with an Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Hold Registered Nurse licensure in New Hampshire or a compact state.
  • Maintain professional nursing practice and attend educational conferences to stay current with trends and best practices.
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Achieve unit-specific competencies within the identified timeline.
  • Obtain Basic Life Support competency within 30 days.
  • Achieve safe care and handling of surgical equipment, decontamination of surgical instrumentation, scrubbing, gowning, gloving, aseptic technique, circulating general cases, and operating-room equipment setup competencies within 90 days.
  • Achieve circulating-specialty competencies for ENT, plastics, eyes, vascular, orthopedics, neurological, gynecological, and genitourinary procedures, as well as robotics-surgery competency, within 180 days.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care using a patient-centered approach incorporating the Professional Practice Model.
  • Provide patient-centered care through teamwork and collaboration to achieve quality patient outcomes.
  • Integrate best practices and current evidence-based practices into healthcare delivery.
  • Use data to improve quality and safety.
  • Use informatics and technology to communicate, manage information, mitigate errors, and support decision-making.
  • Care for patients aged six months through adulthood requiring surgical or invasive interventions under various types of anesthesia.
