Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Exceptions to educational requirements must comply with state law and regulations
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by BrightSpring/StepStone and/or State regulations
  • Maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements
  • Medication Administration as required by state/program requirements
  • Ability to work in a group home, home-like settings
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
  • Ability to use a computer utilizing company documentation systems
  • Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information
  • Relentless pursuit of helping clients live their best lives
Responsibilities
  • Function always as a caring, therapeutic team member.
  • Youth Supervision: Milieu supervision of youth.
  • Acts as a positive role model to youths and other Youth Care Workers.
  • Participate in treatment team and programmatic team meetings.
  • Provide Behavioral Management: Including praise, natural consequences, education, de-escalation within the Trauma Informed Care lens.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functioning of home areas, office, and equipment.
  • Complete all necessary daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
  • Administer medication, complete necessary documentation, and provide adequate education to clients as required for medication management.
  • Attend and provide input to team meetings, and monthly trainings.
  • Engage and model in the teaching of TIC model.
