Requirements
- The preferred candidate will have a two or four year degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year program, with at least three years completed, will also be considered if they are available for the duration of the internship
- The preferred candidate will have previous experience working in an athletics environment and understanding of the game of baseball
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Candidate must be a professional, self-starter who will work as a team player and also be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite required
- Possession of a valid Driver's License and excellent driving record
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Pull tarp when necessary
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operation of the athletic department
- Act as a liaison between onsite clients and JRTC staff
- Research and compile mailing/email blast lists of coaches, managers, athletic department personnel, etc., for distributing sales collateral materials; coordinate and execute direct mail marketing efforts
- Assist sales staff with outreach and sales calls to amateur, high school, collegiate and professional athletic organizations
- Assist communications staff with content and review of promotional/sales collateral materials as well as print and digital advertisements promoting events and facilities
- Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Athletic Operations
