Registered Nurse

HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our OR team. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

The RN-Dedicated Call is specifically responsible for coverage of on-call procedures during weekday hours (no weekends!), which will include holiday rotation, within their designated department.

Position Specifics:
• Department: Operating Room (OR)
• Core Function: Nursing
• Schedule: On call only. Sunday-Friday or Monday-Saturday (5:00pm-6:30am)
• Facility: St. Nicholas Hospital
• Location: Sheboygan

Education Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

• If assigned to the Cath Lab: 3 years of nursing experience in a cardiac cath lab is required. Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral and neuro cases, as well as device implants is required.
• If assigned to OR, CVOR, GI/Endo, Interventional Radiology: 1 year of nursing experience in designated area is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
• Wisconsin: RNs may begin employment with a valid multi-state RN license; a WI RN license will be required within 30 days of establishing permanent residency.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Cath Lab, GI/Endo and Interventional Radiology: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
