Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must lead others and hold them accountable.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple-frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Ability to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.

  • Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
  • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and other peak shopping times, with reliable and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work in and be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain duties.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • The role is full-time, with hours that may fluctuate according to business needs and without a guarantee of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
  • Observe performance, provide feedback, hold team members accountable, and recognize positive guest experience moments.
  • Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve results, align the team on behaviors and execution, celebrate wins, and elevate the guest experience.
  • Model, train, and coach team member expectations under the GUEST service model.
  • Plan daily and weekly workload according to business priorities and deliver department and store sales goals.
  • Lead multiple businesses while balancing team member expertise and effectively leading teams in each department.
  • Plan merchandising sets, make changes and updates to merchandise sets and planograms, and execute sales plans, events, and promotions.
  • Lead team onboarding and learning, close skill gaps through development and coaching, and support team interactions.
  • Develop, coach, and lead a team of consultants with guidance from the direct leader.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
  • Encourage use of department tools such as fitting rooms, testers, and displays to provide personalized guest recommendations.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to maintain brand standards, merchandising, and product availability.
  • Support team execution of merchandise-set changes and visual presentations for defined categories.
  • Create inspiring visual moments by organizing and correctly signing merchandise and merchandising it to support seasonal trends.
  • Support backroom processes, organization, layout, and sales-floor replenishment to ensure product availability.
  • Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe where applicable.
  • Support the direct leader in establishing goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Lead ethical conduct, safety, and compliance practices and hold the team accountable.
  • Model safety practices, identify and correct hazards, assist with incident response, and report and investigate injuries accurately and promptly.
  • Model physical security processes and support the in-store security culture.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application.
  • Follow safe-and-secure training and processes when serving as a key carrier.
  • Occasionally assume store-level leader-on-duty responsibilities during assigned shifts.
  • Address store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Support guest services, including backup cashier, order pickup, and Drive Up, while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
