Upside operates in the retail and consumer goods market with a cash-back app that rewards users for everyday purchases like gas, groceries, and food. The app allows users to claim cash-back offers at local retailers, enabling them to earn money back while shopping as usual. This approach not only enhances consumers' purchasing power but also helps retailers increase sales and customer loyalty without changing their operations. Upside generates revenue through partnerships with retailers, who pay a commission for the traffic and sales driven by the app, which is then shared with users as cash-back rewards. The company prioritizes data protection to ensure user privacy and is committed to environmental sustainability by investing in projects that offset carbon emissions from fuel purchases. Upside's mission is to create a fair economic model in brick-and-mortar commerce, benefiting both consumers and retailers, while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
