Requirements
- A degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or one of the hard sciences
- 2+ years of experience on a trading team as a developer or trader
- Strong creative, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Experience working with and joining multiple large datasets
- Programming skills in C++ is a must and experience with Python is highly desired
- Track record of successful design and execution of novel, complex, open-ended projects
- Options experience preferred but not mandatory, candidate must be interested in the options space
- The ability to work and solve problems as part of a team, often in a high-pressure environment
- Successful candidates will have a passion for the financial markets and are strategic thinkers. Must be organized and detail-oriented and the ability to manage multiple work streams
- Proven trustworthiness and performance under the highest ethical standards
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and design of our next generation options algorithm stack
- Use large quantities of data to develop and back-test signals to be used by our trading system
- Collaborate with other members of the trading desk to develop and rapidly iterate on tools and dashboards used to enhance live trading
- Develop options specific research infrastructure and libraries
- Explore trading ideas by analyzing market data and market microstructure for patterns
- Participate in the idea generation process with respect to options research
