The big picture: Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are hiring a Senior Associate, New & Growth Business to join our growing East Coast advertising team!
Why it matters: In this role you will work with new and growth partners to build Axios’ revenue through successful client partnerships.
Zoom in: This is a high-energy role that requires superior communication skills, an ability to understand partner business priorities and develop creative solutions, and a proven ability to generate leads.In this role you’ll:
- Be a key player on the Client Partnerships team and a brand ambassador for Axios
- Manage new and existing relationships for Axios’ Core Media team, proactively network with new and growing partners to create new opportunities for our company
- Develop and maintain trusted, strategic relationships with agency and client partners to expand Axios’ footprint
Details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Axios’ mission. This position requires the following:
- 2-3+ years experience in customer or client services
- Understanding of how key relationships with agencies and brands function
- Experience managing top-of-funnel sales pipelines including researching, prospecting new business leads, outbound outreach, and organizing inbound interest
- Knowledge of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios’ competitive landscape
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively across internal teams within Axios
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills and an ability to prioritize effectively
- Prior experience using CRM software to manage sales processes and pipelines
- Knowledge of G-Suite tools a plus

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $46,200 - $58,100 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Axios’ compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
Note that the total compensation offered for this role includes a sales incentive component, which is contingent upon the successful achievement of predetermined sales targets.
