The Tableau Reporting Analyst will have experience with building automated reports utilizing Tableau and will work closely with ROPS partners to both outline requirements and develop or update reports in Tableau based on business needs. The Tableau Reporting Analyst will work in a collaborative environment with analysts and other teammates on Team Torchlight and across ROPS to successfully convert ROPS reporting into a self-serve environment in Tableau.
Technical skills:
- Requirement creation: outline technical report requirements to support conversion of existing reports from Excel to Tableau
- Visualization Development: Develops insightful dashboards that answer key business problems utilizing various skills in Tableau including parameters, level of detail and other calculations/visuals as needed.
- Maintenance: Provides support, as required, to ensure the availability, accuracy, and performance of dashboards and backend data processes that feed Tableau dashboards. Ensures reports are produced timely and error-free.
- Data Structure: Exhibits an advanced understanding of our data model structure, how to access data, and demonstrates best practices for data identification and accessibility in order to support the building of various data models in Tableau.
Problem Solving:
- Demonstrates ability to understand key business problems and relationship to the various business teams supported, then partners to provide a data-driven solution to help solve.
- Identifies issues within reports, the root cause & proposes solutions to resolve
Project & stakeholder management:
- Create and maintain documentation related but not limited to reporting, processes, training, etc.
- Partners with stakeholders to develop report requirements, effectively leads working sessions, proactively communicates around roadblocks & builds collaborative relationships
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2-4 years related experience required.
- Intermediate to advanced Tableau experience required
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications.
- Experience with the following preferred: MS Access, SQL Server, Oracle, VBA, Netezza

Salary/ Wage Range
$55,000.00 - $91,000.00 / year
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
