Requirements

5+ years of experience of welding processes including TIG and MIG
2+ years of management experience
Experience leading and training welders
Time management, scheduling and organizational skills
Has ability to prioritize task and to delegate to team
5+ years of Welding Management and/or lead/supervisory experience
Experience in a fast paced start up environment
Background in Linear Seam Welding
Background in Circumferential Seam Welding
Organized and detail oriented
Leadership and teaching/mentoring
Experience optimizing welding productivity and performance
Knowledge of welder and welding safety standards
History of successful project management
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to use a computer to complete assignments
Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment

Responsibilities

Lead the welding team to ensure quality product is produced at production rate while adhering to safety standards
Engage in employee development activities, providing regular feedback and coaching to enable career development for team
Create and manage team staffing plans to meet production demands by recruiting, hiring and retaining top talent
Manage shop floor layout and set best practices, including tool management, FOD mitigation, part control, machine preventative maintenance and safety protocols
Ensure productivity and utilization of team remains high
Serve as a liaison with designers, clients and other stakeholders to maximize efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction
Initiate, coordinate and enforce production, safety, and quality systems, policies, and procedures
Responsible for team training plan and setting standards for workmanship
Build a strong team culture of accountability, collaboration, flexibility, respect and ownership

As a Welding Production Manager, you will be responsible for the on-time delivery of quality hardware from the welding team. Responsibilities will include leading the team to meet production rates, ensuring safety codes and procedures are followed, documenting and championing design or process improvements and creating training plans for team members. A successful candidate in this role will have knowledge and hands on experience with TIG/MIG welding processes.

5+ years of experience of welding processes including TIG and MIG
2+ years of management experience
Experience leading and training welders

The salary range for this role is $124,100 - $175,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
