Requirements
  • Extensive experience providing modeling and simulation support.
  • Engineering and technical expertise for modeling, simulation, and analysis support for space defense efforts including Assessment of National Space Control Capabilities, Space Protection Program, Space Situational Awareness, and National-level and Joint-level studies and analysis.
  • Detailed working knowledge of modeling, simulation, and study activities, especially as it pertains to Executive Agent for Space Systems.
  • Expertise in performing and implementing National-level studies.
  • Expertise and support in leading analysis of alternatives and concept of operation type studies.
  • Effective communication with leadership, stakeholders, and development/industry communities.
  • Knowledgeable with respect to Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, United States Air Force, United States Space Force or Space Systems Center processes and procedures for delivering systems to production environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and technical advice for projects and programs as well as support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities.
  • Support the revision or drafting of JCIDS and acquisition documentation such as Initial Capability Documents, Analysis of Alternatives, Concept of Operations, Technical/Systems Requirement Documents, Technical Evaluations, and System Specifications.
  • Provide inputs and support on technical and/or programmatic status reporting of individual projects, programs, or portfolios.
  • Identify areas of improvement with actionable, feasible recommendations, and tasks for reducing risk where appropriate as well as support risk identification, process definition, and detailed technical risk mitigation plans.
  • Maintain a broad awareness and understanding of all programs and technology development efforts in execution across the applicable portfolio as well as assist integrated product teams and working groups.
  • Advise the Government program manager on technical engagements (e.g., technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program conferences, etc.) as well as establish customer and contractor interfaces.
  • Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and mission data assessments.
  • Recommend viable solutions for technical anomalies.
  • Support the development, delivery, review, and evaluate impact analysis, audits, studies, compliance inspections, and readiness reviews.
  • Provide modeling, simulation, and analysis as well as architectural development support, including definition and development of Space Protection and Space Control mission area architectures and alternatives (enterprise, mission area, and mission thread products), force packaging, courses of action and validation to determine the effectiveness of architectures and/or alternatives being evaluated.
