Requirements
  • At least 2 years of agency experience.
  • Excellent sales skills.
  • Experience with global distribution systems, customer relationship management systems, and Microsoft applications.
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and interpret and comprehend tour and cruise group contracts.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and commissions and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Ability to talk or hear regularly, sit frequently, stand and walk occasionally, type using the hands, and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, arrange, and secure vacation reservations with airlines, car rentals, hotels, preferred tours, and cruise lines for vacation clients.
  • Adhere strictly to the sales process by securing reservations with preferred air, tour, and cruise providers using approved software, including Apollo, ClientBase, and online booking engines.
  • Meet or exceed the sales productivity level established by the branch manager after completing appropriate training.
  • Record and track all client data and travel purchases in ClientBase.
  • Invoice and record client monies received in the CI Azumano accounting system, Trams, via ClientBase, in a timely manner.
  • Proactively market new travel offers to existing clientele.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client profiles in ClientBase and update profile changes.
  • Serve as a resource for travelers during the sales process and before and after travel.
  • Offer travel options based on client requests, upsell clients when appropriate, and sell additional products to maximize satisfaction, revenue, and commission.
  • Use ClientBase to market future travel products to existing and prospective clientele.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information, and develop alternative solutions.
  • Manage difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, solicit feedback, and provide service and assistance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and keep emotions under control.
  • Speak clearly and persuasively, listen and obtain clarification, respond to questions, and participate in meetings.
  • Give and welcome feedback and prioritize team success.
  • Prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
  • React well under pressure and follow through on commitments.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and apply feedback to improve performance.
  • Meet productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality and ensure responsibilities are covered during absences.
  • Follow instructions and management direction, take responsibility for actions, and commit to necessary work hours to reach goals.
  • Write clearly and informatively in traditional and electronic communications, edit for spelling and grammar, vary writing style, present numerical data effectively, and read and interpret written information.
