Versa Networks offers Versa SASE, a cloud-native platform that combines SD-WAN and security into one software stack. It routes enterprise traffic through the cloud, providing networking and security as a single service for secure connectivity from any location. The platform reduces vendor and appliance sprawl by delivering networking and security from the cloud under a subscription model based on users, sites, and features. Its goal is to help enterprises and service providers simplify networks, improve security, and enable secure remote work through a unified, partner-driven go-to-market.

What believers are saying

  • Sovereign SASE demand can unlock regulated enterprise and public-sector budgets.
  • Swisscom beem proves carrier-embedded distribution can scale Versa deployments.
  • CSPM and Inbound SSE open adjacent security budgets beyond branch connectivity.

What critics are saying

  • Palo Alto Networks and Cisco can bundle broader platforms into incumbent accounts.
  • Channel dependence creates pipeline concentration if partners shift toward competitors.
  • Browser, CSPM, and AI-agent products face crowded markets and slow monetization.

What makes Versa Networks unique

  • VersaONE unifies SD-WAN, SSE, SD-LAN, and analytics in one stack.
  • Versa sells through service providers, SIs, and VARs for broad reach.
  • Versa extends SASE into AI agents, browsers, CSPM, and 5G.

Versa automates Zscaler ZIA integration to simplify enterprise SASE deployment

Versa has announced an integration with Zscaler Internet Access that automates the connection between Versa Secure SD-WAN and Zscaler ZIA, eliminating manual configuration barriers in SASE adoption. The integration delivers automated PoP selection, tunnel creation and self-healing networking for branch and campus connectivity. The solution addresses challenges enterprises face when deploying cloud security at scale, where traditional approaches rely on manual processes that create complexity. Automated workflows intelligently select optimal primary and secondary ZIA PoPs for each site, enable rapid secure tunnel provisioning and apply consistent application policies across locations. The integration is available today and targets large-scale environments using both platforms, aiming to reduce operational complexity whilst improving performance and security.

Versa launches secure enterprise browser to extend SASE security into browser workspace

Versa Networks has launched early access for Versa Secure Enterprise Browser, a browser-native security capability within its VersaONE Universal SASE Platform. The solution enforces security, access and data protection policies directly in browser sessions as employees use web, SaaS and enterprise AI applications. The browser integrates with Versa's existing secure web gateway, cloud access security broker and Zero Trust network access services, providing unified policy enforcement across networks, applications and browser sessions. Built on Chromium, it supports Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices. According to a February 2026 Gartner Market Guide, 25% of organisations will deploy at least one secure enterprise browser technology by 2028, up from approximately 10% today. The Early Access Programme is now open to organisations running VersaONE.

Versa launches Inbound SSE to secure internet-facing apps with cloud-delivered protection

Versa has launched Inbound SSE, a cloud-delivered security capability that protects internet-facing applications by inspecting inbound traffic before it reaches application environments. The solution extends Versa's Security Service Edge platform, which traditionally focused on outbound traffic protection. Inbound SSE redirects connections from the internet through Versa's cloud security platform for inspection and policy evaluation before allowing them to reach applications. Security protections include access control, denial-of-service detection, bot filtering, intrusion prevention and malware blocking. The technology eliminates the need for traditional firewall infrastructure in front of each application, offering centralised policy management and elastic security scaling. It is available immediately as part of the VersaONE Universal SASE Platform for enterprises and service providers. Swisscom is deploying the technology through its beem service.

Versa rolls out Sovereign SASE-as-a-Service to keep data and control planes within national borders

Versa rolls out Sovereign SASE-as-a-Service to keep data and control planes within national borders. Versa Networks Inc. today announced the general availability of Sovereign SASE-as-a-Service, a fully managed sovereign secure access service edge offering delivered from infrastructure operated entirely within an organization's legal jurisdiction. The solution has been designed to provide comprehensive SASE functionality, with the entire data, control and management planes contained within that same jurisdiction, a requirement for organizations operating under strict data residency and regulatory compliance mandates. Most existing SASE services available today are not fully sovereign. They may offer localized inspection and enforcement but are limited to a handful of countries because operational control and management often reside outside the jurisdiction where data is processed. Versa also claims that some vendors mask their offering as sovereign by offering gateways on customers' premises. But that does not address the gap, as operational sovereignty requires more than the location of a gateway. "Many enterprises invested in sovereign cloud strategies, only to discover their security and networking control planes were outside their jurisdiction," said Versa Chief Executive Kelly Ahuja. "Deploying a cloud SASE provider's appliance on customer premises does not make a solution sovereign. True sovereignty requires control over where policy is enforced, where control and management occur and who controls and governs that data while it is in motion." Versa's new Sovereign SASE-as-a-Service addresses the data sovereignty issue by ensuring that the data, control and management planes operate entirely within the customer's legal jurisdiction. The company's approach extends sovereignty to how traffic is inspected, routed, logged and governed. Versa is positioning the service as a way for enterprises to reduce compliance exposure without having to build and operate their own infrastructure. The new service offers the full Versa SASE stack - including secure web gateway, cloud access security broker, firewall-as-a-service, zero-trust network access and software-defined wide area networking - through infrastructure hosted and operated within a single jurisdiction. Enterprises can connect branch offices, remote users, data centers and cloud environments into a unified fabric, with traffic inspection, policy enforcement and logging handled within the sovereign environment. The service is delivered in a fully managed model, with Versa operating and maintaining the platform while customers consume it as a cloud service. "Delivering sovereign SASE as a managed service represents a structural shift in the market," said Jim Frey, principal analyst for networking at Omdia, "Until now, sovereign architectures were largely limited to national operators or organizations with the resources to build and operate their own infrastructure. A managed model lowers the barrier for regulated enterprises that require jurisdictional alignment without taking on that operational burden." Versa has raised $316 million in funding, including rounds of $84 million in June 2021 and $120 million in October 2022. Investors include Sequoia Capital Operations, Artis Ventures, Mayfield Fund Management, BlackRock Inc., Verizon Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Silicon Valley Bank, Liberty Global Ventures, Princeville Capital, RPS Ventures and Triangle Peak Partners.
