  • The ability to operate TIG and MIG welders safely and effectively to industry standards.

  • The ability to identify and perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, and programs.

  • The ability to inspect materials for compliance with specifications for size, shape, and consistency.
  • The ability to use metal shop tools, including an angle grinder, safely and according to engineering specifications.
  • The ability to assess repair viability and repair or repurpose damaged or broken parts.

Responsibilities
  • Operate TIG and MIG welders safely and effectively to industry standards.
  • Read blueprints, shop drawings, and other instructions to assemble components accurately and within tolerance.
  • Identify and perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, and programs.
  • Operate and observe robots, detect malfunctions or non-conformances, and conduct quality checks on parts and components.
  • Assist in developing new additive manufacturing procedures.
  • Inspect materials to ensure they meet specifications for size, shape, and consistency.
  • Use metal shop tools, including an angle grinder, to process component parts according to engineering specifications.
  • Assess the repair viability of damaged or broken parts and repair or repurpose them as needed.
  • Manage workflow to maintain a clean and organized workplace.
  • Clean and organize the workplace daily or as needed.
  • Collaborate with department leaders regarding work progress, problems, and other issues affecting completion of production orders on time.
  • Comply with internal policies and industry regulations.

  • One to two years of prior production shop experience.
